Sketching

What began as a tool to support my design development has evolved into a deeply personal and enriching practice. Over time, sketching has become more than a method of observation—it is a form of meditation. I once read that drawing can quiet the mind and center one’s focus, and that description resonates strongly with my experience. Through sketching, I’ve learned to see with greater clarity, whether studying the subtleties of the built environment or the complexity of natural systems. It sharpens my understanding of spatial relationships, material qualities, and ecological patterns. Beyond its utility as a design tool, however, sketching has become a meaningful creative outlet—an intimate way of connecting with the world around me.
