Ekar Farms

During the early stages of design, I explored multiple site layout options, carefully considering spatial organization to align with Ekar’s mission while responding to the site’s distinctive character. After four design iterations, a central, community-oriented concept began to emerge in the fifth version, marking a turning point in the design process.

While Ekar Farm fulfills many roles, its core purpose has always been to serve the community. In honoring that commitment, I aimed to foster a strong sense of belonging for all who visit. At the heart of the site, an intergenerational garden is seamlessly integrated—designed to invite meaningful engagement and offer a peaceful, inclusive space.

The majority of pathways are ADA-accessible, ensuring that all visitors, regardless of physical ability, can fully experience, reflect on, and connect with the landscape and its offerings.
