Perry Park

To ensure the design aligned with the community’s vision, surveys were distributed and completed by local residents, providing valuable input throughout the process. In addition, three community presentations were held to gather feedback, answer questions, and refine the design based on public response. A strong preference emerged for a more passive, nature-oriented space, prompting the removal of proposed sport courts in favor of nature play zones and shaded seating areas.

Given the scarcity of accessible water features in Colorado, the design also aimed to highlight and enhance the community’s connection to Bear Creek. The first rendering (right) illustrates a terraced seating area nestled beneath a light, airy shade canopy—offering a serene setting for quiet reflection or conversation alongside the gentle sound of flowing water. The second rendering introduces bubbler fountains that mirror the movement of the creek, surrounded by diverse seating options intended to encourage both relaxation and social interaction.
